Abstract

Heat sensitive recording material comprises a substrate and color formers and color acceptors containing heat sensitive recording layer, where: a hollow body pigment comprising an intermediate layer is formed between the substrate and the heat sensitive recording layer; the intermediate layer further exhibits at least one component comprising boric acid or (di-)sodium tetraborate-decahydrate; and the heat sensitive recording layer is applied by slit molder, which is curtain coater, or sliding surface caster, which is slid (curtain) coater.
