Abstract

A burner plate (12) has an opening (3) for afterburning heating gases from the fuel via horizontally-supplied secondary air. A nozzle part (5) is connected to the opening and tapers in cross-section from a combustion chamber (6) to an afterburning chamber (4). The secondary air is horizontally supplied into the nozzle part through the opening. The nozzle part is arranged near to the combustion chamber and faces the afterburning chamber. The nozzle part is made of fire-resistant material.
