Abstract

1. Kidney protecting belt (1; 20; 40; 60), in particular in the form of an outer belt, for two-wheel drivers, comprising at least two side portions (3, 4; 21, 22; 41, 42; 61, 62) and at least one rear portion (6; 26; 45; 63, 64) arranged between the side portions to protect the kidney area from effects of coldness, and at least one elastic portion (2; 23, 24; 47 to 52; 65, 66) being considerably easier to stretch than the basic material of the kidney protecting belt, being covered by the rear portion and at least one portion being considerably harder to stretch or not to stretch at all, consisting in particular of the basic material of the kidney protecting belt, characterized in that said rear portion (6; 26; 45; 63, 64) is shaped in a hull-like way and comprises two covering portions (8, 9; 53, 64) delimiting a hull gap (7), the opposing edges of which delimit slit-shaped gap openings (11, 10; 27, 28; 43, 44), with said portion being easy to stretch (2; 23, 24; 47 to 52; 65, 66) being arranged on the inner side of said rear portion (6; 26; 45; 63, 64), and that said portions being hard and/or not to be stretched at all (3, 4; 21, 22; 61, 67) are extendible in a tongue-like fashion in such a way from the respective gap opening (11, 10; 27, 28; 43, 44) that they pass through said gap opening (11, 10; 27, 28; 43, 46) even in the case of maximum stretching of said portion being easy to stretch (23, 24; 47 to 52; 65, 66).
