Abstract

The programmable timer has a switchable output for connecting an electrical load which is switched on or off to a switching time point by the timer. A unit is provided for calculating a switching time point depending on the position of the sun and a user input. Another unit is provided for entering a switching angle, where the switching angle is the elevation angle of the sun. A control agent is provided to switch the output to the calculated switching time point.
