Abstract

The invention relates to a timepiece case, in particular for a wristwatch. Said case comprises a cover part (7) and a base part (8). A peripheral case wall (4) is surrounded over at least part of its circumference by at least one decorative element (11), which can take the form of a gemstone. Several connecting bridges (12), which are distributed around the periphery and encompass the decorative element (11), connect the cover part (7) to the base part (8). The bridges secure the decorative element (11) and simultaneously improve the stability of the housing. This permits the cover part (7) and/or the base part (8) of a timepiece housing of this type to be produced from plastic. The clock mechanism (22) is located in the base part (8) and the base (3) of the housing is equipped with a sealing cap (23) to enable the battery to be replaced and means (24) for adjusting the clock mechanism (22).
