Abstract

1. A wood milling cutter comprising a disc-shaped carrier (1) having replaceably mounted thereon, by means of screws (26, 46), cutters (5, 6, 7, 8) presenting cutting edges (22, 32, 42, 47, 52, 57) on the first and second face sides (3, 4) and on the circumference (9) of the carrier (1), in which, on the first face side (3), the radially outer part of the cutting edge (22) of at least one first cutter (5) located on the face side is aligned with the axially outermost part (47) of the cutting edge (42) of at least one second cutter (7) located on the circumference and offset in circumferential direction, characterized in that, on the second face side (4) too, the radially outer part of the cutting edge (32) of at least one third cutter (6) located on the face side is aligned with the axially outermost part (57) of the cutting edge (52) of at least one fourth cutter (8) located on the circumference and offset in circumferential direction, that all cutters (5, 6, 7, 8) are clamped in the carrier (1) by means of a clamping wedge (21, 31, 41, 51) each, which has a pin (24, 44) engaging in a bore (25, 35, 45, 55) of said cutter (5, 6, 7, 8) ; and that the second and fourth cutters (7, 8) each have a stepped outline such that a plurality of different profile configurations can be produced depending on the cutting depth.
