Abstract

A spray cleaning system for workpieces (8) has an overhead rectangular support frame with four corner uprights (2), two side supports (3) and two cross supports (4). A travelling gantry (13) moves along the side supports and carries vertical arrays of spray heads (9, 11) on adjustable mountings. The operator selects the spray pattern and position of the spray heads to match different workpieces. The system can spray gasses, e.g. ionized air, or liquids, e.g. paints.
