Abstract

1. A method for metering fluid metal wherein, through regulation of the throughput of an electromagnetic feed pump in the feed intervals by means of a liquid level sensor (5), a fixed delivery level (6) in a supply system (3, 4, 7, 8) is preserved and during the feed times the throughput is increased, characterised by the following features : a) the throughput required for preserving the delivery level (6) in the feed intervals is measured ; b) during the feed times the throughput is increased by a fixed amount above the throughput measured in the feed intervals.
