Abstract

1. Device for attaching a suction tube (12) to the casting chamber (8) of a vacuum die casting machine including a guide frame which has a mounting plate (11) which removably supports the upper end of the suction tube (12) and which is mounted so as to be longitudinally movable with it between a coupling position, in which the suction tube (12) is connected to the insertion opening of the fixed casting chamber, and a decoupling position, in which the upper end of the suction tube (12) is spaced from the insertion opening of the casting chamber (8), and is pressed in the coupling position towards the insertion opening of the casting chamber (8), characterised in that a spring element (4) is provided for applying the pressure of the suction tube (12) against the casting chamber (8) in the coupling position, which spring element constantly urges the guide frame (10) in the direction towards its coupling position, even in the decoupled state and that in the decoupled state the mounting plate (11) may be swung out laterally together with the upper end of the suction tube (12) with respect to the guide frame (10).
