Printing plate fixed on a support cylinder of a rotary printing machine, which cylinder has, in its lateral surface, a longitudinal slot (7) which is inclined with respect to the radial direction in which are engaged and maintained the end parts of the printing plate bent over toward the axis of the cylinder, characterized in that it has, at a rest state in which it is flat extended, a first wing (2) bent over on one side of the plate (1), at a first longitudinal end of the same, by forming with the rest of the plate a first angle (a) substantially equal to 90 degrees and, at its second longitudinal end, a second wing (3) bent over on the same side of the printing plate than the first one, by forming a second angle (b) acute with the plane (2) to which it is connected, these first and second angles (a, b) being choosen so as to be smaller than the obtuse and acute angles of the respective dihedrals (A, B) which are formed in the support cylinder (6), on both sides of the slot.
