Abstract

1. Method for the protection of the inner wall of gas cylinders (1), in particular for use with high purity gases, against corrosion while the gas cylinders are being transported or stored prior to their being filled with gas, characterized in that a plug (6) is provided for the gas cylinder (1) on which, or in which, respectively, a drying agent (9) is placed, whereafter the plug with the drying agent is placed into the cylinder opening with a gasket being put therebetween, and the cylinder such is held tightly closed until being filled.
