Abstract

The casting body, on which a machine-readable code (C) is disposed, comprises a riser (S) or other shaping element required for casting the casting body and detached after hardening cast raw part, where the code contains information that is assigned to the casting body and is carried by a separately prefabricated code carrier (1) that is molded with a section in the casting body and is detachably connected with the casting body. The code carrier is cast with a section in the riser or other shaping element, and comprises an indication section (3) carrying code and a fastening section (2). The casting body, on which a machine-readable code (C) is disposed, comprises a riser (S) or other shaping element required for casting the casting body and detached after hardening cast raw part, where the code contains information that is assigned to the casting body and is carried by a separately prefabricated code carrier (1) that is molded with a section in the casting body and is detachably connected with the casting body. The code carrier is cast with a section in the riser or other shaping element, and comprises an indication section (3) carrying code and a fastening section (2) distant from the indication section, where the fastening section is cast in the casting body. The indication section of the code carrier is positioned outside of casting body. The code carrier carries the code on a freely visible outer surface, and is made of a material, which belongs to class of materials like the casting material. The code is an optically readable character sequence or line sequence, is engraved in the code carrier, and contains redundant data. An independent claim is included for a method for producing a casting body provided with a code.
