Abstract

1. Folding door, especially for lifts, of the type comprising at least one pair of leaves (1) articulatedly connected one after the other by way of articulation elements (2, 3) forming part of hinging provided at the longitudinal sides of each leaf, each leaf (1) having a central part (5) and two wings (6, 7) respectively disposed on both sides of the central part (5) and oriented in the same direction, and the second leaf (1B, 1D) of the pair or of each pair of leaves (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D) of the door, when unfolded in closing position, being turned by 180 degrees about its longitudinal axis and by 180 degrees about its median axis relative to the first leaf (1A, 1C), characterised in that the central part (5) of each leaf (1) is disposed according to an axis of symmetry (XX') which constitutes the median axis of the leaf (1) and extends perpendicularly to a line (YY') passing through the axes of the opposed articulation elements (2, 3), and in that the two wings (6, 7) which connect the central part (5) to the articulation elements (2, 3) and each comprise two limbs (6.1, 6.2; 7.1, 7.2) forming therebetween an angle (beta) of at least 90 degrees of same size for each of the wings (6, 7), the limb (6.1, 7.1) of each wing adjacent to the central part (5) being of the same length for each wing (6, 7) and deviating from the axis of symmetry (XX') starting from the central part (5) and the angle (gamma) formed by one of the limbs (6.1) relative to the axis of symmetry (XX') being greater than the angle (delta) formed by the other limb (7.1).
