Abstract

1. Chamfer tool for placing on to one-part taps (2) with a chamfer cutter (5), which operates in the direction of rotation of the tap thread, and comes to rest in the grooves (12) of the tap (2), with an axially adjustable stop ring (8) and a prestressed spring (9) between the chamfer cutter (5) and the stop ring (8), characterised in that the stop ring (8) is displaceable by means of a thread (19) on a threaded bush (7, 7') which can be pushed on to the shaft (3) of the tap (2), for the purpose of fine axial adjustment of the chamfer tool (1) in relation to the tap (2), whereby a short threaded bush (7') with a thread (19) arranged only in the area of the cylindrical shaft (3) can be exchanged for a longer threaded bush (7), which has a recess (20) and can be pushed with the thread (19) arranged on the outer diameter over part of the length of the cutting thread (21) of the tap (2).
