Abstract

A slow forming, thermally reversible gel for filling cables at or below the polybutylene use temperature, which comprises a butene-1 polymer which may contain C2-C5 comonomer, optionally a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer, and a naphthenic or paraffinic oil with an aromatic content up to 25% by weight.
