Abstract

1. A bottle cooler having a container (1) adapted to receive at least a lower cylindrical portion of a bottle (14) to be cooled, at least one cold accumulator (7) which is removably inserted in the container (1) substantially in the axial direction of the bottle cooler, and a holding means (2) which is constructed in the form of a container insert and provided with at least one recess (5, 6) to receive the cold accumulator (7) in order to support the cold accumulator (7) in a position adapted to the diameter of the bottle, the inside of the coolant insert (7) being substantially flush with the inside of the container insert, characterised in that the recess (5, 6) is so constructed that it enables one and the same cold accumulator (7) to be received at two or more different radial distances from the longitudinal axis of the cup-shaped container (1), the depth of the recess (5, 6) and the thickness of the cold accumulator (7) being adapted to one another in such a manner that the inside (8) of the cold accumulator (7) is substantially flush with the inside (3) of the container insert (2) only in the position furthest away from the longitudinal axis of the container.
