Abstract
Novel catalytic composite comprises a non-acidic zeolite (I) bound within a support matrix (II), a Group VIII metal component (III), and sufficient surface-deposited alkali metal (IV) to provide a surface-deposited alkali metal index(s) of at least 10. (I) is L-zeolite, 25-75% of the composite; (II) is alumina or silica; (III) is Pt (0.01-5 wt.%) and (IV) is K, (s) = 40-500; (s) is defined as 104 x mole/litre soluble alkali metal yielded by a wt. of composite containing 0.5 g (I) when placed in 10 ml deionized water.
