Abstract
Process for quickly arresting all corrosive processes taking place at any point within a cable, in a simple and controllable manner, without any material destruction, while avoiding the need for revarnishing. Constant ''drying'' is carried out, and the ''annular gap'' (3), insulated from the exterior by a prolonged-resistance special steel plate (4) and in which circulates pressurized N2? gas, ensures a reliable insulation from the atmosphere.
