Abstract

In a trailer control valve for commercial-vehicle brake systems actuated by pressurised fluid, at least one control piston (11; 17) and one reaction piston (25) are provided. The reaction piston exposed to the pressure let out by the valve carries a driver collar (35) which is longitudinally adjustable on it and, in the case of a reaction movement of the reaction piston (25), comes to bear against a spring (41) supported on the housing. The advance of the trailer control valve can be adjusted in accordance with the extent of the bearing of the spring achievable by means of the driver collar (35); after exceeding a force which can be predetermined by the spring (41), the reaction piston comes to rest against the control piston, the advance thereby being ended and the pressure let out subsequently being proportional to the pressure fed in. The extent of the advance can be adjusted by means acting from outside on the driver collar (35). <IMAGE>
