Abstract

A cutter for cutting and mixing food products, preferably for sausage production, has a machine stand with a main and extension part, a cutter bowl which is rotatably driven about a vertical axis being arranged on the extension part for the purpose of receiving the cut material. Arranged essentially horizontally over the cutter bowl there is a knife shaft with cutter knives whose cutting points pass closely by the inner surface of the cutter bowl, the said inner surface being in the shape of an annular recess. In order to be able to produce a cutter of this kind with as a large an oscillation and noise attenuation as possible as well as with low production costs and as far as possible without metal cutting processing, in which case the weight is also reduced and the resistance to corrosion improved, the machine stand is produced separately from a main stand part (1) and from a stand extension part (7) which are subsequently connected directly to one another by flanges, both the main stand part (1) and the stand extension part (7) consisting of a reaction resin concrete cast (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
