Abstract

1. A battery lamp, particularly a hand lamp, comprising an integrated warning flashlight device, which has a battery compartment (10) preferably receiving a chargeable battery (14) with a hinged cover cap (11), a spotlight head (12) with a spotlight (20) arranged therein arranged for pivotal movement about a substantially transverse pivotal axis (19) and a warning flashlight bulb (25) which is arranged in the battery compartment in the vicinity of its upper end, characterized in that, the warning flashlight bulb (25) is arranged in the cover cap (11) in such a manner that, in the side wall (22) remote from the spotlight opening (21), the cover cap has a light opening (23) covered by a light diffusing screen (24) and associated with the warning flashlight bulb (25), which light opening (23) extends over substantially the entire width of the side wall (22) and is made rectangular, that the spotlight head (12) and the cover cap (11) together with the warning flashlight bulb (25) each have their greatest dimensions in the region of the light openings (21, 23) and narrowing towards the opposite side, are arranged substantially complimentary to each other.
