Abstract

An electric storage heating apparatus has a parallelepipedal sheet metal housing, which accommodates heat storage blocks (11), which can be heated by electrical resistance heating elements (12), at least one fan (13), which sucks air in from outside and conveys it through cavities (14) in the heat storage blocks (11) to a hot air outlet opening (15), and an electrical connection and switching arrangement (16). The electric storage heating apparatus has, for the purpose of accessibility of the electrical connection and switching arrangement and of the fan (13), removable side walls (17) and a removably fastened control box (21) which is arranged in an opening in the front wall (20) close to a side wall (17) and which, when the associated side wall is removed, can be removed and installed. The side wall (17) associated with the control box (21) overlaps the rear wall (23) at the side with an angled part (17') which has bore holes (22), complementary screw heads (25), which are fastened on the rear wall (23) and project therefrom, engaging in the bore holes (22) in the angled part (17').
