Abstract

In this process, the decorative effects are prefabricated on the textile material and then treated by means of enzymatic hydrolysis, the carrier material consisting of cuts of fibre material which are not enzyme-resistant and/or more enzyme-resistant than the carrier material. The carrier material is removed either completely or from areas defined in terms of pattern in the course of the prefabrication of the decorative effects, without destroying the fibre, without employing mechanical stress and while reducing the use of environmentally harmful aggressive media. Further processibility of the degradation products is ensured.
