Abstract

Multiple movable contact assembly for a miniature switch with high ratings. The movable contact element (58) comprises two independent contact arms (64, 66) connected in parallel and mounted on a transverse spindle (68) of the cradle (70) whilst being connected to the cover (54) of the frame (52) by two braids (98, 100) situated in symmetrical side regions. The contact parts (64a, 66a) bear on a same patch of the stationary contact (42) so as to create two points of contact permitting a decrease in the heating. When fully open, the contact arms (64, 66) are retracted behind the upper arc tip (40) whose loop (108) is laterally offset relative to the mid-plane of the insulating case (12). <IMAGE>
