Abstract

The support (10) for a post (1) to be detachably fastened on a fixed ground carrier, e.g. a tree grille, is designed as a two-part housing (11) which receives a spherical head (4) firmly joined to the post (1) and which can be fastened on the carrier by means of a plurality of screwing means (18, 23) bracing the two housing parts (12, 13) together. Either the spherical head (4) or the housing (11) receiving the latter has radially projecting shoulders which are harder than the corresponding opposite piece; in the case of elements made of grey cast iron, these shoulders are formed from homogenous bosses joined thereto, and the hard skin of the casting is removed from the opposite piece. <IMAGE>
