Abstract

In a method for manufacturing a printing product from a multiplicity of sheets lying one above the other in a rotary printing machine, in which method, to form the printing product in the rotary printing machine, the sheets lying one above the other are folded together once along their transverse centre line, a considerable amount of waste paper is produced due to the prefold or return fold required for opening the printing product out again. To avoid this waste, the multiplicity of sheets of the printing product are joined together at least on one side extending transversely to the delivery direction in the region of the trimming edge prior to delivery by the rotary printing machine, in such a way that the prefold or return fold can be omitted and it is still possible for the printing product to be opened out again.
