Abstract

The invention relates to a load-bearing horizontal structural system which comprises load-bearing slabs or slab-like structures constituting the frame of the said horizontal structure, and support parts transferring loads from these slabs to the load-bearing vertical frame of the building and extending in the horizontal direction from the cross sectional surface of any given vertical frame to the area of the slab. The load-bearing, mainly horizontal slabs (1) are substantially thinner than the final visible structural thickness of the intermediate floor, roof or base floor of the building, in which case the support part (4) extending horizontally or at a slight angle from any given vertical part (6) of the vertical frame (5) to the slab (1) is above the slab and fastened to it at least at one point at a horizontal distance from the said vertical part, in order to support the slab (1) from outside the vertical part (6), and the support part (4) is at least in the main contained in the visible horizontal structures of the building.
