Abstract
In order to fix a floor-mounted closet (1) or bidet, a retaining element (17) fixed to the floor (4) is provided having two surfaces (16) arranged close to the two lateral walls (8) of the sanitary fixture or close to intermediate walls (9) arranged in front of the latter (as seen from the inside) and angled obliquely away from the floor (4), beneath which pressure screws (14) engage from both sides of the sanitary fixture and are supported via nuts (13) against the lateral walls or the intermediate walls (9) and are accessible from outside for a screwdriver through aligned passages (10, 11) in the side walls (8) and, if appropriate, the intermediate walls (9). A corresponding arrangement is possible for a urinal suspended from the wall. The sanitary fixture (1) thus stands on the floor (4) or rests on the wall with smoothly continuous lateral walls (8). The attachment flanges hitherto conventional, with their corners which are difficult to clean, are omitted. The passages in the lateral walls (8) can be closed, for example with a stopper, but need not necessarily be so. A further substantial advantage is offered by the effortless fine adjustment during assembly. <IMAGE>
