Abstract

A cleaning device, especially for metallic work pieces, in particular for removing solid and/or liquid residues such as sand, chips, lubricant or the like, is provided with a dip tank for a washing liquid and nozzles arranged in the tank and connected to a pressure line for washing liquid or air, and also a receiving fixture for receiving the work piece to be cleaned. A plurality of these receiving fixtures are arranged on the periphery of a polygonal wheel. The receiving fixtures are rotatable about an axis which is essentially perpendicular to the axis of the polygonal wheel. In this arrangement, the work pieces are passed through the dip tank during the rotation of the bucket wheel.
