Abstract

1. Device for forming an axially parallel seam in insulating cylinders of large transformers, where the adhesive seam is arranged between bevelled overlapping edge strips of a pre-roller-burnished board made of an insulating material, characterised in - that there is provided a trough (6) which is formed from axially parallel lamellae (4) and which serves to accommodate the outer side of the adhesive seam at least at the beginning of the process, - that by moving the contact point of the lamellae (4) the trough (6) is adjustable in its cross-section to the contour required on the adhesive seam and - that a bar (16), which is arranged opposite the trough (6) and transmitting the pressure force, completely covers the adhesive seam both in length and also in width and approximately evenly distributes the pressure force over the entire surface of the adhesive seam.
