Abstract

The packing tray is divided by at least one web into at least two compartments, it being possible for each of these compartments to be closed by a film or the like which is to be sealed on. The web tapers slightly towards the top and, in its upper end region, is at least approximately semicircular in cross-section, its upper wall being flattened off. This shape of the web can also be achieved by surfaces sloping at an angle of 30 to 60 DEG . In the corresponding device for deep-drawing the tray, due to this shaping of the webs and thus of the ribs of the device, a cooling channel can be mounted relatively near to the upper flattened-off wall, by which means the web is cooled quickly and effectively after forming. <IMAGE>
