Abstract

1. An ink-fountain in the inking unit of a rotary printing press with an ink dosing device (4) acting with an ink-fountain roll (2) and having a fountain blade (5) stretching along the length of the ink-fountain roll and which, as looked at in the direction of turning of the ink-fountain roll has the function, as the last fountain blade, of controlling the final coating thickness on the ink-fountain roll, characterized in that near the stripping edge (7) on the lower side of the fountain blade (5) there is a thin, springingly elastic foil stripe (8) stretching over the length of the stripping edge (7) and running out past it so as to be sliding lightly on the ink coating present on the ink-fountain roll for stopping any building up of ink on the fountain blade and dropping of such ink from the blade and the small amount of ink running down the fountain blade (5) is run by the foil stripe (8) back on the ink-fountain roll (2).
