Abstract
1. An exhaust gas heat exchanger for a fuelfired heat source which is provided with a heat exchanger element (6), for installation into an exhaust gas duct which has bends and is provided with a blower (19) and with a heat insulation (7), wherein the exhaust gas outlet (2) of the exhaust gas heat exchanger is provided at the top of the latter and the blower (19) is disposed in the exhaust gas stream at said top, characterized in that the exhaust gas in conducted in an S-shaped path having two mutually opposite ends and extending in one plane the blower (19) is preceded by a bypass exhaust gas line (32) leading to the heat exchanger element (6) and an opening (37) for admixing tertiary air is provided.
