Abstract

The fire-proof door is formed from a box-shaped door leaf (1) which encloses mineral-fibre panels (5). The visible sides of the door leaf (1) consist of two cover plates (2, 3), and the end faces are formed with a frame (4). A gap between edges (6) of angled edge strips (7) of the cover plates (2, 3) is bridged by the frame (4). Longitudinal edge strips (14) of the frame (4), which are angled in the interior of the door leaf (1), engage in grooves (15) provided in end faces of the mineral-fibre panels (5). The profile of the frame (4) is provided in its central region with a groove (8) which is open to the outside and in which are provided a strip (10) which foams under the action of heat, and a plaster channel (11). The frame (4) holds the mineral-fibre panels (5) at a parallel spacing, so that these parts form a compact, pre-manufacturable construction unit to which the cover plates (2, 3) can be positively attached at both sides. <IMAGE>
