Abstract

1. Process for the heat treatment of residues, components or the like introduced into a heatable charging chamber (3) of an autoclave (1) and which are exposed there to an elevated temperature, accompanied by the supply of heat and a pressure build-up, the resulting pyrolysis gases being removed under pressure from autoclave (1) to a following further treatment, characterized in that the residues, components or the like are heated in autoclave (1) to a temperature of up to approximately 450 degrees C in the absence of oxygen and the pyrolysis gases produced are removed after reaching a preselected pressure level of up to 5 bar.
