Abstract

The heater consists of a water-bearing housing which is passed through by a tubular flue (6) which contains the combustion chamber and, at least in the takeoff-side half, is designed with two walls and the inner wall (1) is provided with inwardly directed folded longitudinal ribs (8) which delimit heating gas flues. In order to stabilise the folded inner wall (1) with regard to its insertability into the tubular flue (6) and with regard to the heat load, and also to ensure optimum heat-transmission conditions, taking condensate formation into consideration, the inner wall (1) is provided in the region along the tubular flue-side fold gusset (2) with longitudinal welded seams (3). The surfaces (4) of the longitudinal welded seams (3) are arranged running below the outer circumferential surface (5) of the inner wall (1) and, with the tubular flue (6), delimiting a gap (2').
