Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce adhesive by distributing the fixing points on the outside of a sealing part defined by a gasket and securing the gasket to a heat transfer plate at the fixing points thereby fixing the gasket mechanically to a heat transfer surface. CONSTITUTION: Each heat transfer plate 10 has a die pressing groove (gasket groove) 11 elongating across one or more circumferential fringes and the seal part 2 of a gasket 1 is arranged in the gasket groove 11 of the heat transfer plate 10. The heat transfer plate 10 and the gasket 1 define a heat exchanging area along with other heat transfer plates superposed thereon. A plurality of elongated tabs 3 extends from the seal part 2 of the gasket 1 while being formed integrally therewith. The tab 3 and the heat transfer plate 10 are clamped at the circumferential fringe of the heat transfer plate 10 by means of a clamp 21.
