Abstract

1. Apparatus for detecting warp thread breakages in looms having at least two shafts and electrically-conductive and mutually-insulated staves (16) having regions which are bridgeable by the metallic healds (18), in which respect the point of contact of each heald (18) of a shaft forms, with a stave (16), a switch in a control circuit which has a contact-making impulse counter with preselection in conjunction with a fault indicating circuit which has erasable stores and which controls a switch-off circuit of the loom characterised in that the control circuit has, for each shaft (I-IV), a control loop which leads by way of a switch (31) actuated by the shaft in the lower-shed position thereof, and in that the control circuit has an adjustable mechanism (counter 39) for limiting the maximum interrogation time, given by the actuation time of the switch (31), both with respect to the start of the interrogation time and the end of the interrogation time.
