Abstract
In a process and an apparatus for the preparation of shaped ceramic bodies from pulverulent inorganic raw materials, the particles are assembled in a sintering mould by means of an electrostatic field to give an extremely close packing, after having been charged by the first electrode. A second electrode is located on at least one outer surface of the sintering mould. The shaped bodies are then sintered in the sintering mould.
