Abstract

The device is for actuating an air vent valve 2, arranged for example on a radiator 1, by means of a tool 3, such as for example a rectangle socket key for pushing onto the rectangular spindle of the air vent valve 2. To collect the liquid which emerges from the valve outlet 4 during venting of the radiator 1, or opening of the air vent valve 2 by means of the tool 3, a collecting device with a receiving opening for taking hold of the air vent valve 2 is provided. The collecting device has a penetration opening 5 for the tool 3 which points in the direction of the receiving opening and has a grip part 6 which comes to lie outside the collecting device. The innovation consists in the collecting device being designed as an essentially closed collecting container 7 and the receiving opening being designed as an insertion opening 9 provided on one container wall 8, the opening margin of which in the use position frees a possibly small radial sealing gap 10 to the air vent valve 2 which extends into the collecting container 7. <IMAGE>
