Abstract

A sauna heater (1) consists of a casing (3) made of heat-resistant material and held in a frame (2). Mounted on the upper side of the frame (2) is a basket (4) with stones (5). Arranged under the basket (4) is a heating facility (7) for warming the sauna room (33). For carrying out different sauna operations, such as dry sauna, steam sauna or bio-steam sauna, which are in each case characterised by a different ratio of sauna temperature and air humidity, an evaporator bath (10) for liquid is arranged under the heater (1) at a distance from its base (9). A heating device (14) is installed inside said evaporator bath (10). For running the different types of sauna operation, the heating device (14) can be switched at predetermined temperature values of the adjustable heating facility (7) of the heater (1). The oxygen-containing mixture flows from the evaporator bath (10) via one or more steam conduits (18) through the heater and emerges into the sauna room (33) at the upper side of the heater (1).
