Abstract

A filling installation for foodstuffs or the like, for example for liquid to pasty dairy products (8), particularly a shaping, filling and sealing machine (10), is used to fill cup-shaped recesses (14) which are deep drawn from plastic film (11), and are arranged parallel to the cup conveying direction (x) by ranks and transversely to the conveying direction (x) by rows. The cup-shaped recesses (14) are adhesively sealed after their filling by means of cohesive lid foil (D1-D4) unwound from the roll (V1-V4). The lid foil (D1-D4) possesses, by ranks, identical individual lid impressions. After passing through a punching or cutting apparatus (37), the filled and sealed cups (14) are separated from one another and then packed (at K). A rapid, problem-free change to a pre-existing carton mix of various products is achieved, with respect to the lid foils, in that a separate roll holder (R1-R4) having an individual stock roll (V1-V4) of single-rank lid foil (D1-D4) is assigned to each rank of cups. Separate guide means are assigned to each single-rank lid foil (D1-D4) on its guide path from the stock roll (V1-V4) to the sealing device (17). <IMAGE>
