Abstract

A bracket for books inserted between two spaced-apart shelves has a vertical telescopic tube (1) with a telescopic rod (2), and an inserted helical compression spring (3) and pressing-on and support claws (4, 5) which are of elongate bow shape, are attached at both closed ends of the telescopic tube (1, 2) and are offset by 90 DEG relative to one another. The telescopic tube (1, 2) can have a polygonal cross-section, in particular a square cross-section. An elongate bolt (6) can be inserted in the outer telescopic tube (1) between the bow-shaped support claw (4) and the helical compression spring (3).
