Abstract

In a sleeve-shaped winding core for thin, web-shaped winding material, in order to simplify the fixing of one end of the winding material to the winding core, an adhesive layer (12) of a permanent adhesive is first applied to the winding core, which is formed from numerous paper or cardboard webs. As a result, a helical strip (15) of adhesive layer remains free on the outside, is arranged in a recessed manner relative to the top web (13), and serves to fix the end of the winding material to the winding core (9).
