Abstract

A ventilated roof ridge capping having a fastening region (10) and an edge region (13), between which a chimney-like central region (11) having elongated-hole openings (12) for the passage of air is situated, is illustrated and described. In the capping according to the invention, the vacuum formation on the underside is improved in that each two immediately succeeding elongated-hole openings (12) are assigned an air baffle (14) which runs substantially parallel to the elongated-hole openings (12) and is arranged such that it cuts off an air flow transversely to the longitudinal direction (L) of the capping through a water-drainage region (15) bounded by the chimney-like elongated-hole openings (12), without preventing water drainage. <IMAGE>
