Abstract
A process for the automatic melting of thermally sprayed surfaces is proposed, in which the disadvantages of known processes of this type (manual and semiautomatic melting) are overcome. This is achieved by a method in which a parameter relevant for the melting process is measured using a non-contact sensor system on a part of the area which has just been subjected to the melting process by a melting burner and, starting from this measured value, the amount, which in fact may be dependent on the material thickness, type and form, is suitably controlled.
