Abstract

A package unit, in particular for tissue or nonwoven fabric, comprising a web (1), which is folded back and forth to form blocks (2, 4, 8) with zig-zag layers, whereby the fold edges (3) are perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the web (1) and form the front or back side of a block (2, 4, 8), and the first block (2) being connected to a second block (4) by a continuous portion (5) of the web (1). Further, the beginning (6) of the web (1) of the first block (2) is connected to the web end (7) of a further block (4, 8) to form one integral package unit. This embodiment allows to provide a compact package unit containing a web of great length ready for transport and further processing at the user.
