Le matelas comporte à son côté longitudinal, deux poignées de transport ancrées dans l'âme en matière expansée (2, 3) avec les enveloppes intérieure (9) et extérieure (10), par des broches de retenue (19), qui sont maintenues chacune dans une plaque d'ancrage (14) qui est collée dans l'âme expansée (2, 3). La broche (19) peut être enfoncée pour s'ancrer dans la plaque d'ancrage (14) à travers l'enveloppe intérieure (9), qu'elle maintient en même temps que l'enveloppe extérieure (10) et la poignée.
