Abstract

L'invention concerne des copolymères greffés, comprenant un tronc de polyoléfine non polaire, ayant de préférence une moyenne pondérale du poids moléculaire relativement élevée, auquel est greffée au moins une chaine de polyméthacrylate, que l'on prépare par dissolution d'un polyoléfine non polaire dans un solvant hydrocarboné inerte, et , avec agitation du mélange, addition de méthacrylate monomère avec un amorceur pour produire un flux constant faible de radicaux afin de greffer par covalence une chaîne polymère sur le tronc de polyoléfine. Le copolymère greffé peut être mélangé à une matrice de polyoléfine pour améliorer ses propriétés physiques, en particulier assurer un bon équilibre du module de traction, de la résistance au fléchissement et de la viscosité à l'état fondu et également pour améliorer la compatibilité entre des polymères de polarités différentes.
