Abstract

Dans un procédé de coulée pour produire des pièces moulées en fonte nodulaire, des additifs contenant du magnésium sont mélangés à la fonte lamellaire liquide dans une poche (40) pour produire un lot de fonte nodulaire qui est amené au moule pour former les pièces moulées. Les additifs comprennent un additif au magnésium (55) constitué d'un alliage de ferro-silicium-magnésium introduit tout d'abord dans la poche (40) et recouvert par une couverture de protection (56) d'additif au ferro-silicium. Les additifs (55, 56) sont placés dans un compartiment pour additifs (51) formé sur un côté d'un barrage (50) dans la poche (40). La fonte lamellaire liquide est amenée à un compartiment pour fonte (52) de l'autre côté du barrage (50) déborde finalement par dessus le barrage (50) dans le compartiment pour additifs (51) pour réagir avec les additifs (55, 56). La disposition du barrage (50) et de la couverture de ferro-silicium (56) permet un mélange mieux contrôlé de la fonte lamellaire liquide et de l'additif au magnésium.
